Process Improvement/Change Management

Her segue into formal process improvement work began after Six Sigma training, while working as IT Program Manager at Seagate Technology.  She has always been passionate about streamlining process and a firm believer that an improvement can easily be made if a tangible (measurable) change can be identified as a success factor. (Metrics! Metrics! Metrics!)

She compiled a document that describes a repeatable process improvement effort in context to work performed for a client. This document is general enough to cover most process improvement work. There will be challenges that are not addressed by the document, and, for those type efforts, she recommends using consulting support.

Quality Assurance

Her deep understanding of quality assurance and software development was demonstrated very clearly in her execution of the Direct2Guest project at Target.  This project was high-visibility, executed on a very tight timeline, outsourced to an offshore vendor on a fixed-bid basis.  The project concluded with resounding success, only to be sunset as soon as rolled out (due to the divestiture to May Co.)

Maryrose has extensive experience in performing project management office (PMO) duties, first-hand.  In addition she has had the responsibility of leading a team that performed PMO oversignt for client Target Corporation.  Her role then was IEF Expert/Consultant for the Development Technologies Group.  At that time, 75% of Target’s legacy applications were built using the toolset IEF (also known as Composer, Cool:Gen or Advantage:Gen).  The Development Technologies group was acting PMO for all applications developed in IEF or interfacing with applications developed in IEF.

She also performed some PMO duties as IT Program Manager for Seagate.
